Description

Delicious crispy fries made from fresh banana peppers, offering a delightful crunch and slightly spicy flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Fresh Banana Peppers
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1/2 cup Cornstarch
  • 1 cup Panko Breadcrumbs
  • 2 Eggs
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • Oil for Frying

Instructions

  1. Preheat oil in a deep fryer or heavy skillet to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the banana peppers into thin strips.
  3. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl: flour, cornstarch, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  4. Prepare the egg wash by beating the eggs until smooth.
  5. Coat each pepper strip first in the egg mixture, then dredge in flour, and finally roll in panko breadcrumbs.
  6. Fry the coated strips in batches for 3–4 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Drain on paper towels to remove excess oil and serve hot.

Notes

Keep coated fries refrigerated and fry just before serving for freshness. Air frying is an option for a healthier version.
