Description

A warm and cheesy dip made with ground meat, Rotel tomatoes, and melted cheese, perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef or sausage
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
  • 1 can (10 oz) Rotel tomatoes
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon cream cheese (optional)
  • Tortilla chips for serving

Instructions

  1. Brown the meat: In your skillet, add the ground beef or sausage over medium heat. Cook until browned, breaking it into small pieces with your spatula. Drain the excess fat.
  2. Add the flavor: Pour in the can of Rotel tomatoes along with the taco seasoning. Stir well and let it simmer briefly.
  3. Melt the cheese: Gradually stir in the shredded cheese, letting it melt completely. Add cream cheese if desired.
  4. Serve and enjoy: Transfer the warm dip to a serving bowl and pair it with crispy tortilla chips.

Notes

This dip can be made ahead of time and reheated. Add jalapeños for spiciness or substitute meat for beans for a vegetarian option.
